A garden consultation service for a newly opened bed and breakfast in Devon
This beautiful property in the East Devon hills is undergoing a huge transformation. The two acres of land is currently being re-designed and is due for implementation during the next low season.
However, as an immediate requirement, the client requested my garden consultation services to address the areas directly surrounding the house. From a business point of view this had to look inviting, welcoming and most importantly, reflected the style that runs through the bed and breakfast and holiday cottage, in order for them to open for business as soon as possible and have great shots for their business marketing.
My design consultation service included assessing minor works that we carried out immediately such as erecting a fence to create private zones. We also addressed the front entrance by extending the paved area to receive guests, bringing stylish decor elements such as potted plants, and outdoor lighting. The paving was recycled form other areas of the garden keeping costs down.

I made sure to incorporate natural elements like wood for the furniture and terracotta stone, evoking the rustic feel of the property and keeping the overall theme cohesive and most importantly, reflected the character of the B & B.
Creating this stylish garden didn’t necessarily require a big budget. My consultation guided the owners through a process of what to purchase, including plants, lighting and furnishing. Where to place seating and eating areas and some expert pruning on shrubs to ensure they worked with the scheme.
With thoughtful planning and a dash of creativity, I can transform your garden into a wonderful haven to suit your style and budget.
Please do get in touch if you require my Garden Consultation Service or indeed any garden styling requirements that you may have.
